classes suspended due to typhoon insiang....

typhoon insiang entered the philippines today and brought along heavy rains the whole day. metro manila was under signal no. 1 and classes were suspended in the afternoon. i was at the office the whole day since outside of it is flooded knee deep. decided to stay indoors and go home early since the kids were back from school. stuck due to the typhoon, brought out this funny contraption, an attachable lens supposed to be kinda macro/fisheye/circular effect lens. have tried using this before on some shots of my home and kinda wondered if ok to use on people. well at the same time used my sigma uwa lens since i'm shooting wide format. here are some takes of my kids..as usual my loyal models....lol....oh i remember this attachable lens was bought by my parents about 20 years ago toghether with a canon ae-1 slr camera, i think its a bundled package that came with the camera

julia @ dlsz foundation day 09

here are some shot of Juliana participating in their batch presentation of lasalle's foundation day. i was not there and photos were taken by my wifey. have an event to go to that day. well it was such a toxic day that morning since when we brought the kids to school we forgot to bring her costume and i have to drive back to the office to have her costume made. that was such a quick costume good thing it was just a simple attire. then drove back to school as fast as i can since it would start early. i think i took only 20 mins of driving which normally takes us 45 mins drive. well no stoplights and potholes and bumps could stop me. just relieved that after giving the costume to my wife i realized that i could have been into an accident with the reckless driving i made and also lucky enough that police were not around to stop me or else major violations could have been given. well good job to julia she did perform well according to wifey.

found a photo of our former family car, a 91 mitsubishi montero....sold it i think 3 years ago but we still miss it so much...if not prices of gasoline reaching sky high maybe we could have kept it still. replaced wifey's black widow with a yellow 04 ford escape....still a V6 engine..gas guzzler even

june 09 fathers day

a week after, june 28 its our monthsary when we were a couple and after mass decided to be a little daring during lunch. i brought the kids to estero in chinatown, binondo for lunch. well they did not like it especially seeing frog legs and turtles on the menu and just ordered chicken soup (have no idea what was in it) but it was good, the all time chinese favorite beef brocolli and sweet and sour pork, soft tofu with pork i think. everybody was worried with the AH1N1 flu going around the metro but we just went and ate.
forgot the restaurants name since we just ate so quick and got out of the place. maybe next time will just order take out and eat the food at home. prices were affordable and serving size is manageable. you could pick either small or large orders depending on how many are eating.

its father's day weekend and we had a small party among the burgos family and lolo pepe and lola precy gave the gifts to everybody...hehehehe cash....wow.....thanks daddy and mommy...
we prepared lunch with paella, pork sinigang, lechon kawali and kaldereta..and the special of the meal was wagyu beef from japan...wit brought home and everybody had it and enjoyed it....dessert was cake and fruits.
after the meal was done had a photo taken of the grandparents with all the grand kids .

good bye bro. ceci of dlsz

last week, the good bro. ceci of de lasalle zobel passed away. i never really knew him but i will always remember him as the official photographer of dlsz, since his hobby is photography and likes so much taking pictures of his students. i found a photo in my files of bro. ceci and my son joaquin. at least joaquin has a souvenier shot of him as he is being missed a lot by many students of lasalle.
