OUR HOUSE

this is part of my project documenting our home, at least this would be my contribution for all the hard work wit has done beautifying our humble home.....this is the interior, living room area of our house......to my wifey....keep up the good work...loving all the changes you have done with the house...but remember..all the STUFF...STUFFF...non stop STUFF...hehehehe....

found a circular fisheye lens attachment in one of my old cams...well it fits the kit lens and started playing around with it....it fun but rating the sharpness of the lens it garbage.....well just for my personal use only.......

also practiced on the kids with their jumping skills.....used 2 canon speedlites one tripod mounted and one on the camera TTL exposure.... hope i got some good shots very happy with the exposure

well just practicing nite shots on a tripod and figured out that i have not made any night shots of my place...well here are showing you all the sides of the house.

vanishing point

vanishing point the march theme of the photoworld cup and here are my try for this months contest....i'm not confident with the pics since i did go out and shoot. all are stock photos.....vanishing point means from my little knowledge of it is a pattern that leads to no where....i guess, pardon my ignorance.

1st weekend of march 7 & 8, 2009

its official summer time is has come...and to jumpstart it wit bought a blow up pool and had it set up at the garden and the kids just had a great time swimming in it.....well its a weekend i borrowed a lite meter from a friend and got a chance to practice strobist lighting with the kids while swimming in pool.......well this is a single light set up using my pentax k100d and sigma flash...had it metered then wit took pictures of my daughters with me...very rare that i get my pictures taken.......it was high noon so i have to fill flash the subject.

then during at night, we were supposed to have dinner at the cabana that should be hosted by my sister dot, then it was cancelled since paulo have fever and she can't prepare the food. well the kids were playin billiards and thought of getting some shots of them... here are some pics of julia and joaquin...also done with strobist style.

juliana marion's 7th birthday party

last january 21, 2009 our julia celebrated her 7th birthday and as a gift we went to bohol beach club in panglao island, bohol.
my thanks to my wife for setting up such a great party for julia....the party was well attended given the short time to prepare the party...believe it or not it took only 2 days to prepare for the party and thanks to all our friends and relatives to come on a short notice.
also the food was fabulous served by the la comida catering. as usual service with them is superb, my wife's favorite caterer.
julia loved her brats cake and the decorations of the party.....great set up there...credit goes to my wife.

at bohol....we went around the province in a rented van first stop was the blood compact memorial where the spaniards had an agreement with the natives. just a glimpse of philippine history there, then went around the old churches and saw antiques relics of spanish era time. the had buffet lunch at the cruise at loboc river. kids had a great time on the ferries. me and wit had bohol food...menudo was different there they mix it with squash....then mangoes was unlimited but still run out tourist just keeps on munching them.


we stayed at the bohol beach club resort which is awesome.....this trip was from the bingo winnings last year at lasalle zobel....the more we enjoyed it since its free...yipeeee.....would recommend the place to anybody going to bohol...service was great, amenities was fabulous, the beach is pristine and clean....went snorkeling with joaquin and saw lion fish, nemo and lots more....that is about 10 meters from the shore and about 2 meters deep. got sun burned on my lower back got lazy spreading those sunblocks which are sticky to me.....

last january 22, 2009, my family went on a vacation to panglao island in bohol philippines. its our gift to our 2nd daughter, julia, on her 7th birthday. stayed at bohol beach club and its so very nice and picturisque location. would recommend to anybody who wants to go out for a beach resort. bought along my camera equipped with the uwa lens and shot some sceneries.

the resort was fabulous and service was at high standards. we loved our stay there. hoping to come back in the future. had a good time spending with the kids and my lovely wife. its a refreshing short vacation and escaping from the daily routine of work and chores at home. i was de stressed when i stayed there.

day after going from sta. cruz, laguna, random shot of jana after waking up...couldn't resist the morning sun/window lighting.....but i used the dave hill effect on pp....not much my liking but maybe more practice then i will get the effect perfectly.

enter the year of the ox, one the first things we did was to visit kuya gen's place in laguna.....it was a whole day affair at his place which was very farm/orchard type of land....then went home passing along slex which until now is still not yet finished encountered some traffic along the way home, got hungry and after all the party and eating pasta and sweets during the holiday we ate at gerry's grill along posadas in pque....overlooking the laguna de bay...ate the traditional inihaw na pusit (my babe's fave always) and the specialty of the house sisig.......great meal to finish a fun and tiring trip......
